After a heavy period working on the release of Autocade Year of Cars 2026, we’re back on updating the main reference site, where a few model lines were completed: the Subaru Forester, Audi Q3, and Audi Q5. The Porsche Macan, Audi Q6 and Škoda Kodiaq saw their second generations go up (and therefore they are now complete). All the Polestars are now up, and Polestar got its marque page. We also completed the Avatr line-up during October. The site is on 5,548 models at the time of writing.
Meanwhile, here are two Renault 5 E-Tech images that we considered publishing in the 2026 number, but ultimately had no use for. Seems a shame not to give them a wider airing, as they’re quite well composed, from Simon Harvey Photography. Nice to see the car in this bright green shade, and not in the high spec of the publicity photos, in a real-world setting. We prefer this to its sister car, the Nissan Micra, though it is nice to see the Japanese marque try to reclaim things at such a difficult time.

At the risk of sounding like a Mazda advertisement, we’re getting a good sense of satisfaction from the latest Year of Cars—the more we look, the more we like. Our gratitude to those early customers, including returning ones, who got their copies this week at the early-bird price of £24·99. If you’ve not bought Autocade Year of Cars before, you can pick up the latest one and, at checkout, add the earlier two at half-price.
